I'm a mom of three and wife to my husband, in ministry together for over 30 years, celebrating co-founding Oasis Church NYC 20 years ago. It's my mission to help busy moms find time to grow in their faith so they can beat the overwhelm in life! I am blessed to know and lead Because She Chose, a community of women committed to following Jesus by developing priorities and implementing spiritual disciplines that will help them lead in their families, careers and ministries empowered by their intimacy with God.
Early in life, Camille knew she was meant to help others. As a teen, she spent her free time serving in her church in whatever capacity she could be used. Singing on the worship team, teaching children's church, assisting the Pastor in office duties, and then later leading teens with her husband, Tim.
Camille married her teen sweetheart, Tim, and have enjoyed 31 years together. They have a 26-year-old daughter, Ellie, an interdisciplinary artist, and their "Sons of Thunder", Andy and Aaron, 23 and 21 years old who are musicians. Native New Yorkers, they are passionate about their city. After working with middle and high school-age teens for 17 years, they established Oasis Church NYC, with a team of good friends that still faithfully lead with them.
Camille also has a heart for the elderly in her community and is a CNA by occupation. But she is most passionate about helping women discover their God-given design through teaching biblical principles. She loves laughing with girlfriends, spending time with family, playing piano and leading worship.
Life seems unbearably busy and you are running all day, burning both ends of the candle. You know... those days when your feet hit the ground running because your two-year-old is spiking a fever and you have to get your other two to elementary school but your daughter is crying because she can't find her favorite shoes and your son doesn't want to brush his teeth this morning!

It’s definitely something I look forward to each week! If you are looking for a worship group,“I met Camille about a year ago through some mutual friends. I was instantly drawn to her love for God and her faith in Him by her warm and welcoming demeanor and since then have loved being a part of the “Because She Chose Community.” I took part in the 5 Day Fast and really got a first time experience of what fasting was; I had never done one. I was able to read along the daily scriptures and then did a fast to go along with the readings each day. I have also enjoyed my Wednesdays at 3pm worship time with her via Facebook LIVE. It’s been a nice break in my day and makes me stop, relax and praise God and worship with others!
